Recognizing the growing trend of the outpatient business model in the healthcare industry, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital hired C. Erickson and Sons for the transformation of existing spaces into its first Urgent Care Centers to serve the Northeast and Center City Philadelphia Communities.
In the Smylie Times building, work consisted of transforming 4,300 SF space into a triage and exam area, procedure rooms, and a patient lobby.
In Washington Square, a first-floor, 8,000 SF Urgent Care clinic required the conversion of a historic window into a conservator-approved ADA-compliant entrance. The facility includes exam rooms, treatment rooms, radiology labs, a staff lounge, and a high-end wood and glass waiting and reception area.
In Rittenhouse, a single-phased project consisted of a 4,300 SF fit-out for a new urgent care facility in an existing shell space.
